Safari Jungle and
River Adventure

A multi-activity rainforest expedition combining 4x4 exploration, horseback riding and river floating.
This adventure combines several ways of exploring the rainforest landscapes of Costa Rica’s South Pacific region, including off-road travel, horseback riding and a gentle river floating experience.
The Experience
The expedition begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or previously arranged meeting location.
Traveling in a 4x4 vehicle, the journey passes through rivers, beaches and jungle landscapes on the way to a remote rainforest location.
Upon arrival, horses will be waiting to take guests deeper into the forest along a scenic trail through old-growth rainforest.
A stop at a traditional Costa Rican wooden house provides the opportunity to enjoy freshly brewed jungle-style coffee while preparing for the river portion of the adventure.
Guests then ride horseback again for a short distance before hiking down a path that leads to the Rio Claro.
Wearing personal flotation devices, participants float slowly and safely down the river through natural pools and lagoons surrounded by rainforest.
After the river experience, fresh fruit is served before riding horseback back to the house where a traditional Costa Rican lunch is prepared.
Guests may relax in hammocks with coffee or tea before returning by horseback to the starting point and then by vehicle back to their hotel.
